Bagels, coffee, hot-dogs and deli’s, NYC is home to them all. But one speciality has been reinvented here - cheesecake! NY Cheesecake wasn’t concocted until early 1900s and was the creation of German immigrant, Arnold Reuben. There are some great places in New York to find this signature dish. On the Upper East Side, there is the Two Little Red Hens where you can get delicious flavours from plain NY to pumpkin and everything is made in-house. Next up, in Brooklyn, is Juniors. This 65 year old cheesecakery is a must visit! For $6.50 a slice, you can taste this delicacy which is almost as famous the dish itself. Finally, in the East Village, pop along to Eileen’s Special Cheesecake. Established in 1975, this bakery has over 20 flavours of NY cheesecakes passed down by the owner’s mum.
